Charles M. Dalziel, Jr. has 41 years total experience in the practice of law, and a consecutive string of 34 years being rated as an AV lawyer by Martindale Hubbell. While many veteran defense lawyers start their own firms with the decision to represent plaintiffs only in contingent fee cases, and while Dalziel is a member of the Multi Million Dollar Advocates Forum with one settlement reaching $11.4 million, Dalziel also has extensive experience as a defense lawyer. Dalziel has been rated as one of Georgia’s Top 100 Civil Defense Lawyers. The proof is in the results. Dalziel has a long stream of summary judgement victories as a defense lawyer. On cases where summary judgment could not be obtained, Dalziel in insurance defense cases has a long record of settlements within policy limits, and paid his limits only twice.

As one Of Georgia’s Top Rated Employment Lawyers since 2013, Dalziel handles the full complement of employment claims, with a special emphasis on non-compete, non-disclosure agreements, and trade secrets claims. Says Dalziel: “The work I do” includes almost every kind of civil litigation cases imaginable–commercial litigation, contract disputes, insurance coverage cases, catastrophic injury litigation especially involving truck wrecks, rate cases for regulated businesses such as insurance companies and telecommunications companies, securities litigation under the 1933 and 1934 Acts, business divorce, trademark fights, Lanham Act controversies, partnership disputes, corporate governance disputes, claims under state Trade Practice Statutes, and Libel and Slander litigation. My goal in the new practice is to continue at the forefront of restrictive covenant litigation, and also to represent both plaintiffs and defendants in other cases within my experience, sometimes under alternative fee arrangements, always with the assurance that the client gets a bargain even when I bill hourly.

“The work I do I do” means I don’t downstream cases to new associates as a training exercise (or worse yet, as an effort to pile up my origination dollars by downstreaming work to less qualified associates) the client gets my work, done by someone of my credentials, with my track record of success. I am a member of the Georgia Bar’s Trade Secrets Committee, and an active member of the Atlanta Bar’s Labor and Employment Section, as well as the Cobb Bar and the Gate City Bar.
